“We need quiet time to examine our lives openly and honestly - spending quiet time alone gives your mind an opportunity to renew itself and create order.”

According to the dictionary, insecurity is a feeling of uncertainty or anxiety about oneself; a lack of conviction or confidence in oneself. It is also the state of being open to danger or threat where a lack of protection exist. The most important concept we truly need to understand about any insecurity is that they are rooted in a feeling and feelings are triggered by beliefs. Because beliefs are a system of thoughts that we have decided to live by due to the evidence they've provided, we can change what we believe by acquiring overriding evidence to dispell those systems. We simply have to remain motivated long enough to look for or establish that evidence ourselves.
When I began to pay attention to my inner being, I realized that the largest percentage of my subconscious thinking focuses on being secure. That knowing that all is and will continue to be well far into the future. Why do we hope and long for this space and place? I do not exactly know, but what I do know is that I desire it - that safety net below the trampoline. Hey, I'm willing to jump as long as I know that something will catch me in case I happen to fall. We must relearn the way of trust - that these safety nets are indeed in place when we decide to take leaps of faith!
